El Paraguas, Ten con Ten, Amazónico, Quintín, Numa, Aarde… Each and
every one of Grupo Paraguas’ projects has marked a before and after in
the capital’s restaurant industry, becoming impeccable trendy places
where everyone wants to go to. Origin, their last
bet, is no less.
Origen is located in Plaza de la Independencia,
in front of Puerta de Alcalá and next to Aarde restaurant, whose part of
the menu, of exotic African hints, can be enjoyed in Origen’s beautiful terrace. The guiding thread of this new space, however, is the Mediterranean,
its raw materials and the flavors of a lifetime.
The welcome counter is a declaration of intent, a product display,
sustainable and seasonal, that can be purchased “on site”, taken home or
even bought prepared in the form of rich homemade recipes in “take
away” format. Almost as if it were a market, the finest
Spanish or French cheeses , spectacular Italian “mostardas”, best fresh
seafood, irresistible pickles, fantastic Iberians or even caviar are
exposed next to the posters that announce the dish of the day, the daily
tortilla or artisan breads.
