The Juan March Foundation is a family and heritage institution created in 1955 by the financial Juan March Ordinas with the mission of promoting culture in Spain without any other commitment than the quality of its offer and the benefit of the community it serves. Currently, it is an operational foundation with its own programs, mostly long-term and always free access, designed to spread confidence in the principles of humanism in a time of uncertainty and opportunities increased by the acceleration of technological progress.
The Foundation organizes exhibitions and cycles of concerts and conferences. Its headquarters in Madrid houses a library of contemporary Spanish music and theater. He is the owner of the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art, of Cuenca, and of the Juan March Foundation Museum, in Palma de Mallorca. It promotes scientific research through the Carlos III / Juan March Mixed Institute of Social Sciences, of the Carlos III University of Madrid.
