Matarranz is the homeware´s tailor; a centennial trade, founded in Madrid in 1911 and specialized in home textiles: sheets, towels, quilts and blankets, among others.
The story starts 108 years ago in Madrid, with Ramiro Matarranz. Matarranz was created, in 1911, as a small textile trade specializing in the sale of stock footage and scarves. But that little dream was growing over time. The expansion of its range of products and a clear commitment to household linen were decisive decisions to become the current benchmark of home textile trade in Europe.
The business spread through other well-known Madrid streets, such as Gran Vía, Paseo de la Habana or Serrano Street, where Matarranz was installed in 1941.
At Matarranz, different textiles share space such as the Egyptian, Italian, Portuguese and Irish cotton, the Belgian and Italian linens; wool like cashmere and mohair; La Vicuña or the valuable down of Eider de Islandi ducks.
Matarranz has a workshop, in Madrid, precisely to offer a service of own production, hallmark of the house, and an exclusive service of customization of items such as bedding or towels; among others.
